Nissan Axxess was the name given to second generation of the Nissan Prairie, also called the Nissan Stanza. It was part minivan, part station wagon, and it preceded the Nissan Quest. Only one model year was available in the US: 1990.

That year, the vehicle came in XE and SE trims. It had an in-line four-cylinder (I4) engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission; a four-speed automatic gearbox was optional. All-wheel drive was also available. Features like power rack-and-pinion steering came standard. Its front brakes were vented discs and its rear brakes were drums.
